The Park Slope Reader Personals
Hi, I'm Devan, and I'm your neighbor. I might go to the same coffee shop as you. We've probably taken the 2 train together. You've definitely seen me at the Grand Army farmer's market. I live, and work, and generally meander in this neighborhood just like you do. And neighbor, this year, I want you to fall in love. Before we go too deep down this rabbit hole I want to clarify that I'm not just talking about romantic love. No, Readers, I'm talking about all of it. I mean falling in love with an old hobby because a new friend brought it back to life for you. I mean falling for a character in a book that you never would have read if your new reading circle hadn't pushed you to. I mean all of the ways that we connect with one another and share experiences and try to be in community. That's why, dear Readers, I am bringing back the personals.

Speak Up LA
Speak Up LA is an organization with the goal of providing information and resources to fight for social justice in Los Angeles by creating easy to understand and accessible resources that encourage learning, advocacy, and donation. LA is our home, Angelenos are our family and our goal is to take powerful, loving action in the fight for each other. We will support each other in the ways we vote, protest, and donate. In the ways we spend our time, talents and privilege. We will hold the leadership we elect accountable everyday and act with the urgency that this movement calls for. We hope people will join us as we grow, evolve, and fight for a more just and equitable future.
